...... we are comparing a 340WRMS watt amp to a 900W amp.... yes, the alpine probably does put out a little more..... yes, the profile probably does put out a little less..... but come on. Profile isin't COMPLETE s#it...

Bingo!! :D . I'm having some $ issues right now. Too many choices, not enought cash. Ahhhh.

Seriously though, 2 of my friends have Profile amps and i've heard them. I think they sound great, but them again I've never heard an alpine amp or Xtant.

BTW, the JBL is still the amp I would get, but i can't find a REALLY cheap one [img]smile.gif[/img]

Acid, if you want to save money on an amp..... choose a different subwoofer to work with. The dual 8 ohm coils of the Tempest are causing you to run at 4 ohms. Hard to get a cheap highpower amp at 4 ohms huh? Get a dual 4 ohm woofer (or 2DVC) and run at 1 or 2 ohms.... then you will really open up your selection on amps....

If your set on a cheap 15"...... try an alpine maybe? JL15W3v2?

can you say PHOENIX GOLD??? they'll handle anything you can throw at it. Buy an older zx series amp or ms series off of ebay, you should be able to catch a ZX-350 for about $250 or so, excellent amps(i know I'm running two of them) :D :D
