I've decided to work on the audio part of my car now. I already have a brand new headunit, and I want new door speakers, amps, and 2 12" subs. I wanted to get component speakers in the front and I'm not sure which brand or model, and I'm also not sure which speakers to put in the back. Thanks for the help!

Well if you got the $$ some MB Quart components would be really nice for up front. Dont bother changing the back speakers, there's no point. As for the 12's you should definently go with JL Audio, you wont regret it. As for the amp, Rockford makes good ones.1998 Arctic White Camaro
3.8L V6 M5
Flowmaster 80 Series with 3\" tips
Whisper Lid w/ K&N
Flowtech Cutout
Free-Ram Air Mod
Blue Underbody Neon Kit
3 MTX 6000 10\" Subs
Rockford 800a2 Amp
My Camaro

Well, it all comes down to how much money you want to spend. What price range are we looking at here? For the subs, box, amps and components. Do you have t-tops? Do you still want to be able to store them in the storage area? What kind of music do you listen to most often? Once I get a price range, I would be more then happy to help!

Price range is hopefully not more than $2000 total. I listen to a lot of music and I especially like bass if that helps any. I also have T-Tops and I could go either way on whether or not I can store them. I've had some Infinity Kappa 3-ways in my doors and rear for over 4 years now and they sound just as good as they did new. They have great highs and plenty of bass for me. I also have a Kappa 12" in the cubby whole to deepen up the low frequencies. I'd like to upgrage to components but I'm waiting for these to go out first. They work fine, so if it ain't broke, don't fix it! :D
I think that adding four speakers instead of just the fronts would sound much better. In my case, I seem to hear the rear speakers more than my fronts. The fronts are at your ankles and the rears are only a few feet from your ears. Granted, they blow out my rear passengers that ride back there!!! Why not go ahead and replace all four while your in there? Just an opinion.95 Camaro 3.4L A4
Bosch plugs/MSD wires, K&N FIPK , Magnaflow catback, hi-flo cat, B&M Shift+, Dee\'s spacer
Kenwood KDX-859, eXcelon Amps, Infinity Kappa 3-way doors and Perfect10 sub
Behold, the raw fury that is known as the 3.4!!!

Okay heres the deal you have less than 2k to spend well here we go. Get 1 Passenger side stealth box at Megabass then go on over to Ikesound everyone on here loves this guy he has amazing prices he has over 25,000 possitive feedbacks on eBay! Heres what I recomend for your sub get 1 yes 1 JL AUDIO W6v2 around $400$! you cant get this from Ikesound so find an authorized JL AUDIO dealer! If you find JL AUDIO isnt your taste(too much bass) then get a 12'' Alpine Type-R around $120$ becasue I have only one 10'' and it rocks my car to death! Well then get an Alpine 4 channel amp around $300$ for a v12 amp. Then get a mono channel Alpine v12 amp around $250$ then get either Alpine Flagship Component Set which are top of the line or Type-R's which I have. I am very satisfied. Around $145-245$ then get Alpine speakers for around $110$ total cost
sub: $150$
4 amp: $300$
1 amp: $250$
component: $245$
speakers: $110$
$1050$ give or take some

Man! JL is the company to end all companies! huh naptown?!
You can get a wonderful system for under $2k. You say you like bass, so I recommend sticking with the two 12" set-up. Check out Megabass's boxes at www.subthump.com I'm kinda hesitant to recommend a particular sub. There are a ton out there. JL is great. Alpine. Adire. Or you could get into some highend subs..... Components..... your best bet is to go to your local store a test out a few different sets. I recommend spending $3-400 on a set. They are the most important part of your system, without a doubt. What head unit do you have? Just curious! ;) Do you plan on installing this yourself? I recommend doing so. We can help you with just about any problem you may have! Buy your wire from either here or here. Great wire for a great price. Ebay is the cheapest place to buy all your gear, just be sure to buy from somebody with over 1k positive feedbacks. Ikesound IS great. If you need help, just ask!
