Monsoon Amp support other speakers?

I have the monsoon system with the 500 watt amp, i dont think that it would be necessarily wise however, can my amp support a 12 possibly 2 10s or do i need to use a diff amp?

You will need a seperate amp.... without a doubt.

That thread is very helpful! I can only think of one question. Since Monsoon runs on 2ohm speakers, are the speakers themselves 2 ohm with only one +- connection. Or are there a pair of +- wires and dual voice coils?

I emailed Monsoon and asked them this same question. They told me that it wouldn't be wise to add anything to the existing system. I also asked if the Monsoon HU could power a amp and sub and they told me that it also wouldn't be good. So thats what I heard....

Of course they will tell you it wouldn't be wise. They have liability issues. You shouldn't add anything to the monsoon system really. It should all be replaced at once; however, if you're like me you can't afford to do that. You can add another amplifier to the system and using it to power your additional subs. That is done quite often. More elaborate information on that can be found on the link that was posted above.
