if u have 0 guage wiring for the positive and a 4 guage ground...
then u basically have 4 guage everywhere...
your ground needs to be the same size as ur positive...

addign a 4 gauge ground, with the rest of the engine ground, should be close to 2 gauge or better.
You use large wire for long runs for voltage drop, having short 4 gauge wires, from frame to motor, will be better than nothing. I would just do short 4 gauge, double it up if you can ;)
On the last install i did, i did double 4 gauge from negative terminal to the ground lug on the car. between that and the 0 gauge to the back, 2000 watts + no light dimming, ect. (focal, JL10W7 in a custom subthump box, ect... )
