Well the install is coming close, and i think i'm going to do it myself as it's going to cost me 250 CDN. First thing is that i'm installing 6.5 components in the door and 5.25 coaxils in the rears and I will need to make custom brackets, what do you think I should make them out of, tin or wood?
And the other question is about power wire. I'm running a planet audio 5 ch amp, 500watts rms. I can either go for $3 foot 4ga wire or 1.50 foot 4ga wire. Which do you recommend?

You don't have 6.5" holes in the rear?? Why the 5.25" speakers? If you must make the brackets, use wood.
Don't know what the difference is between the two wires, but 4awg is 4awg any way you put it. Get the cheaper stuff. (try www.partsexpress.com for wires and stuff, i havent checked but they might be cheaper)

One could be wrapped differently? I know there are different ways to wrap wires which can cancel out noise and interference. Why sometimes in cheep RCA's you can get alternator wine. The cable could also be shielded differently.
Edit: You shouldn't need a bracket for the 6.5, That's what I have in my doors and it fits somewhat fine, I could only screw in two holes, but haven't had any problems.

Power wire that has shielding is pointless. It's just for looks. And when you say "wrapped" you mean "twisted pair"? Again, only useful in RCAs.
And he is making a bracket to install 5.25" speakers in our 6.5" holes....
copper is copper dude. one is more expencive cust it has a "nike check mark" on it...like brand name.
