yes, if you never flip the cover over.

if you think you can mount it there, then flip it over.. your going to run into cooling issues, as the heatsinks are designed not to be upside down

i am only going to flip it closed when the car is parked so the amp is not seen... for security.
      sound good?

are you really going to flip it every time you drive?

also, when you "flip it for security" you have already opened your trunk, and anybody can see what you have ;)

I would reccomend a white rascal style amp rack, on the back of the t-top well.

        That is what i run.

it would be fine upside down at all times... there is enough air under it to keep it cool enough... it wont get hot anywayz

i dunno bout that, i have it right now sittin at the bottom of the ttop storage and when i had that lid closed and ran that amp for mayb 1-2hrs it was hot enough to cause burns. and yes i would close it everytime i drive.

amps state in the owners manual, do not mount inverse, due to the design of the heatsinks.

I have 2 amps in my t-top well, no problems with heat. i have installed a 1200 watt kicker, and no problems with heat back there.

but both are mounted where they can breath a little, in that area. and vertical, not inversed.

nm guys i decided on not mounting it ther... i forgot all about fbodyaudio.com so i went over there and Cliff_J poined out that "What happens if you get in a frontal collision - you've got a 20lb projectile traveling at 60MPH to the back of your head unless the wires can stop it...."
and Ted_J hooked me up with this sweet link http://www.fbodyaudio.com/cgi-bin/ya...num=1072017862 it shows how to mount a amp rack to the rear wall, i was puzzled on how to do it, now im good to go and thats how ill be mounting this amp. thankz for ur input guyz.
