I was thinking about something the other day while pondering my install (coming in the next week or so). Has anyone tried to remove the factory carpet on the box?? We all know the box is made of fiberglass and MDF, but I'm curious if the face can be sprayed a nice color. You know, one that matches my car :D
Food for thought. If know one knows, I'll let everyone know in the next week or so.

ou could just find some teal vinyl and cover it with that?
BTW, are you getting some more PPI or going a different way this time?
also, I fixed my exhaust leak, yay, only $20

As for having it rapped in plethor or likness :shivers: ewwww
I'm thinking of the fiberglass part. If the face is fiber, I can re-gel it and have it sprayed in Teal and buffed to a nice shiny luster.
As for my system. Hmmmm... I'm still staying "old school"
•Alpine 3D upfront coupled to a PPI EPX-205 X-over (both in dash, custom built ;) )
•PPI A200 for the front stage
•PPI A100 for the rear stage
•PPI A300 for the sub (set up with 1 Farad cap for those tight notes :D )
Front stage is MB Quart 5 1/4 with .75 tweets
Rear stage is MB Quart 4 coax
Sub is JL Audio Steath loaded with 10W6
All being pulled through 0/1 gauge wire from the front to rear. Break down to distro blocks.
I'm hoping to have the Alpine 8080 (an old classic alarm) installed this week with a few bells and whistles. (no, I'm not telling you. but I suggest ear plugs )
Once that is done, I get to get the install going. Nothing like having your stereo stolen 4 times in your life time.

Well, my opinion... it's not a JL box. I'm not sure what that is. You would have to get a speaker that will use it's dimensions properly. I would send an e-mail to the seller and ask what was in it. If they know where that box came from.
Depending on the response, it could be a decent deal, but you also have 6 days left. Best beat, if your really dying for stealth. Try the wood place everyone is talking about. Do a search for "Stealth" in this forum and look around.
