LCD screens in the sun visors

Does anyone here have LCD's installed in there sun visors? If yes, can you post some pics.

Here ya go. When I was still in college I played playstation between classes with it [img]smile.gif[/img] It's not hooked to anything right now though.

Check Ebay. They have a ton that are designed to fit in the sunvisor. (Like bob's) That's a 5" LCD, correct? There are 5.6" and even 6" on Ebay...

And how in the he!! did you post that picture on here? I've been trying to figure that out..... [img]smile.gif[/img]

navigatorbob, those are the exact ones I was looking at also. How hard is it to hook them up? What is the install proccess?

Are they very heavy?

I have been looking in to doing this also. Anyone have guides for this? I have also seen a flexable arm that mounts to a head rest that would alow a lcd screen to be swung into view. Has anyone seen those installed or have pictures?

I installed it in about an hour with a box cutter and a ruler. I'd never done anything like it before, and figured at worst I'd only end having to buy a new sun visor. It's pretty simple, and self-explainatory when you see the parts [img]smile.gif[/img] .

Cut the shape of the lcd into the visor, run the wires through the visor into the headliner and down the piller, glue the mouning plastic into place, and you're done.

Also, FYI, I don't know about the laws in your state, but here in California video screens that are in the driver's view while the car is in motion are ilegal (not to mention dangerous).

After running across this post the other night I decided to look around e-bay. I'm amazed at how cheap these are now, for about $200 I could have a DVD player and a screen in my visor. Then I looked around here and heard people talking about putting a computer in their car. I just might have to do that this summer, wouldn't be all that hard and not very expensive if you pieced together a computer from out of date pieces. Loads of MP3's and movies if you get a good video card. That would be sweet, another one of those I wishes but maybe it'll happen this summer
