edead vs. fatmat

my trunk is rattling like a mofo, so i was wondering what would be the better choice edead v.2 or fatmat

Your best weapon against rattling is to seek out exactly what is rattling and wedge something in between the vibrating pieces. I'm not kidding. This will help 500% more then any sound deadening. Sound deadening is meant to keep inside sound in, and outside sound out.

I have had people suggest finding the nuts and bolts in the trunk and putting rubber washers around them. I have spray sound deadner from Advance Auto in my trunk. It basically keeps the sound in the car as much as possible. I don't think it helped too much with rattling.

Might wanna take your spare and jack out if you haven't already.

As stated above, first try to locate your rattles then do what is needed to fix them. As for sound deadening have a look at b-quiet extreme, it is well priced and works very well. I have heard good things about the edead and fat mat though.

the rattling is comming from the back (not the hach, spare or jack) i think its located in the hollow(?) spot behind were it says camaro on the back, how could i stop this?

I would strongly suggest against this. The jack and spare are there for a reason. The thing that rattles the most for me is the plastic molding. I'm just going to to what 96firebird said and wedge some of that weather stripping tape between the plastic and the metal.

i just stuffed some carpet in and now it a little better, but from the out side it sounds like my car is going to fall apart
