• Red Top/ Yellow Top Model???

So I dunno if this in the right place or not, but here goes... I want to buy a new optima red-top or yellow top battery for my car cause my old one'a acting iffy lately and I'm putting in a large sound system. Does anyone know which model numbers of each work specfically for camaro? I mean I can kinda guess by looking but I wanna make sure before I order it...

I don't think they're made "specifically" for a Camaro. I know they make a smaller version of the red top for some import cars, but I think it's mostly the size issue. I'm not sure about the red top, but with the yellow top you'll also have to have the hold-down adapter for the battery. I just installed a 180 amp alternator, so this will probably be my next upgrade as well. That and a 3" s pipe on the exhaust hehe

Yeah, I know there's not one specifically for the camaro, but I know there's specific model numbers that will fit a camaro size wise.... I once saw a chart with all that info on one of the adds on e-bay but i can't seem to find it anymore... hoping to get away with not changing the alternator...

If you're planning on putting in a large stereo system, a higher-output alternator would definitely be worth looking into.

Every audio shop around here only carries one size of Optimas. Whatever size it is, it fits into our cars with no modifications. Sorry I couldn't be of more help...
