  • Kicker midbass and mtx amp, is this good?

Hey my monsoon 6.5 sub blew in my bird and talked with crutchfield and they said my best bet is to get Kicker Resolution 02RMB6 6-3/4" Midbass Speakers and drive it with a MTX Thunder282 70W x 2 Car Amp. Is this a good combo or should I go back to the dealership and buy a 6.5 monsoon speaker. I'm happy overall with the monsoon but i could use a little more bass but don't need anything big, plus I want to use my stock speaker placement. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the replies 96firebird311. I found out that with the birds that have the monsoon even thought the speakers are 4ohm they are dual voice coils that are connected to produce 2ohm, so if i did that setup it wouldn't be half as much volume as stock. anyway i ordered the mtx thunder282 70x2 amp and some kicker subs to replace the monsoon 6.5 subs, hopefully they turn out good.
