• New forum for F-body audio!!

I dont think this has been mentioned yet on here. Its not tech but this is a new site that will be very informative and should benefit us all. Its www.fbodyaudio.com. This is not my site. It was started by a guy on LS1.com named DJSexay. He does a lot of audio competitions like IASCA and knows tons about audio. The site is just getting started but it should be in full swing within a month. Check it out. Hope this doesnt get locked.

WOW

sunsetorange98camaro, you're from Perry GA

I live like 30 minutes east of Macon.

What kind of Db's are you hitting with your setup

I have two of the Alpine type R DVC's in a
Q logic box and I was running a Pheonix Gold XS2500 until it lost a channel. I want to go with the new JBL 1200.1 class D mono, but I gotta put a D@mn new rear end in my car first. It roars like a frikking tiger and my car only has 47,XXX miles.

I hope the board get's up and running soon.

Awesome, I was wondering if I would ever find anybody on this board that lives near me.

I havent been in any competitions with my system nor do I know how many Dbs Im hitting. I couldnt even give you an estimate. I am suprised how good my MTX sub hits though, its getting around 300 watts.

Thats really low miles for a 99. My 98 just turned 70,000!!

.
I think that there is a couple of guys on here from Atlanta. Mtx is a good sub. I have been told by a lot of installers that it is the perfect sub for that enclosure you have. I thought about going with that set up and still being able to put my tops in the back, but I just needed a little more spl's

I have never competed with my setup either. It is real nice, but the pros would blow my @ss out of the building.

That thing that sucks the most about my 47,XXX mile bird is that I have only had it for 7,000 miles. Luckily I have already found a rear end out of a 99 wrecked with only 9K, so it won't be a prob much longer

The MTX sub works for me and does what I need it to do. I have heard an Eclipse sub in a JL Stealthbox and it sounds really nice. I really want to get an Image Dynamics IDQ10. I havent heard one but I also have never heard a negative comment about them. Nothing but praise. Maybe one day.

I have never been a fan of mtx but I know a guy in town who has 2 mtx 10s and they sound really good in his marro. I'm gonna save up and get 2 12's mmats pro cast and a d300hc mmats amp.

superbird, my rearend was roaring when i first got my car and all i replaced to fix it was the pinion berrings and seals. You would probally save a lot if you could do it yourself.

Badass, DJ is an awsome installer. His stuff takes time, but hey, what doesn't.

Yeah, about time we got a dedicated site for the audio stuff.

Thanks for the post about the site, hopefully it keeps him busy.

hey 98V6REDCAMARO

MMATTS are some serious subs, they should sound very good

I would replace those, but I have already found a low low milege rear end out of a wrecked(front) 1999 f bird, and it is rotor to rotor, so swaping it will be a cake job.
