  • 7" or larger speakers in sail panels???

Has anyone put speakers larger then 6.5" in the rear passenger panels. I am looking into putting 7" or 8" focal midbasses in those panels. What is the depth?

the depth is, i think, 3 1/4 in. why not try to fit in 6x9's?

6 X 9's sound horrible. Really bad. I think they would be tough to fit also. Anyone with 7" speakers.

I've got some old MTX 8"s in there. Their depth is something like 3 1/2" and the magnet will hold it to the back of the panel while you put in the screws, so I guess the panels are about that deep. I just took a sawzall after the holes and made them fit. If the speakers you're putting in work free-air, you're good to go. If not, you'll need to find a way to seal up the huge cavities in there....

        ...and that's all I know....
