I finally stopped weaking out and got me a 4th gen yesterday. It's a black 97 Camaro. Now, I was wondering if anyone had an install guide for swapping radios. What I mean is, how do I get behind the plating of the factory one without breaking anything. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Im not sure if I understand your question but if your talking about the radio trim piece that covers the radio and the climate controls then just grab and pull, not literally but thats basically all there is to it. No screws or anything. Then once you get it off you will see the screws that hold the radio in place. Its pretty self explanatory from there.1998 Cayenne Red Camaro 3.8 A4
-Whisper Lid, K&N, manual fan switch, DEI 508D

FOR SALE:
-Whisper Lid
-PAC OEM-1 adapter
-GM Delco 12 disc CD Changer
-MTX 4250D amp
-Kicker Free Air subs
-DEI 508D Proximity Sensor

for almost every question you can think of for fourth gen aftermarket stereos, the guys at LS1.com put together some FAQs. Here's the link:

the previous poster is correct, just pull out on the trim piece, it's just held in by a couple of clips. It's not even that tight so you shouldn't have to pull too hard. Stick a table knife (or screwdriver if you have one ;) ) behind the trim and just pry it out gently. Your fingers will probably work just as well cause it's not very tight.
