• 7in screen comes in monday..what should I use for it?

well Im puttin a 7in screen in my passenger side monday, Im just wondering if I should just shove my PS2 in there and have the DVD, games, etc...or should I throw my laptop in there which will also be able to run my OBD-2 diagnostics ;) ....I just think the computer seems like too much work...when the PS2 is just plug and play...no BS A/V adapters...the PS2 just hooks right up....what would you guys do?...oh and if I threw the laptop in there I'd be looking into a wireless modem...Ive already got a wireless NIC card so I can download MP3's to it easily with the PC in my car

Go with the PS2. I wanna put one in my ride. only problem is where will you mount it. I've only seen two good places. Under the glove compartment and in the back on that ledge near the spare tire.

A play station in a car has to be the queerest thing in the world. Are all of you people still in high school on here? Grow up.

I don't think anyone asked if a PS2 in a car is ***** or not. I'm sure this was a question about what to do with the TV.

if it was mine.. i would hook up a computer to it! you laptop will do ok.. but.. dosent it allready have a screen?

they best way to do it is to build a computer using laptop hardware..

umm.. ps2 is "ok" in cars.. i meen it will play dvd's and games or whatever.. but.. it dosent work that well.. they skip ALOT! unless you have some really smooth suspension.. it was never really designed for in car use.. a dedicated car dvd play will work alot better.. not to mention run directly off 12 volt w/o a convertor..

well you are lucky.. my friends vette does it alot.. just dont get firmer springs..

the other thing with the ps2 is the fact that it is a CRAPPPPPPY dvd player.. it has serious reading problems.. even with the updated drivers..

I know what your talking about, they werent designed with "memory" for anti-skip purposes...and the only reason I was gonna do the laptop even though it had the screen already was for the compact size...and lapotp parts unfortunatley start adding up quickly....the cases is the hardest part to find too....so i guess for now Ill shove the PS2 in there, maybee the glove box then Ill with the PC
