bear with me this gets confusing, but let me know if this sounds right and if it will work.

my setup will be front components with 1 sub, an in dash dvd player, a separate lcd screen, a 1/2 din dash equalizer, a tv tuner, and a backup camera.

i think this is how it would be wired.....

    1) Headunit RCA audio’s to the equalizer
    2) Headunit RCA video to the tv tuner input 1
    3) Equalizer FRONT RCA outputs to the tv tuner
    4) Equalizer SUB RCA outputs to the SUB AMP
    5) Backup camera RCA audio/vid to tv tuner input 2
    6) Tv tuner video output to the LCD
    7) Tv tuner audio output to the COMPONENTS AMP

thanks in advance, i just thought i'd consult you guys....dont want to be totally missing something lol..sometimes you forget something obvious

Sounds good except you're forgetting about 4 CHANNELS! The DVD player should have seperate outputs for the sub, center and rear channels. If you connect only the LR channels, you'll be missing the low frequency effects, most of the speech, and all of the rear effects. Basically you'll get music and front effects.

Unless your DVD player can mix down into 2 channels or something, I don't see how this setup will allow anything but audio playing.

Okay, it has a stereo output, but are you sure that the DVD audio can play through just those two outputs?

If it will, the wiring scheme you have will work perefectly, though I would be concerned about running the audio through the tuner. If you're looking to go to competitions and stuff, you'll more than likely get the all too familiar video whine through the audio as a result of poor sheilding in the tuner itself. Judges HATE that.

If it's just for you, however, I'm sure you'll enjoy it!
