I'm trying to put new 6 1/2s in the back of my coupe, but can't get the old ones out. My only guess is to remove the hex head screws, but I have no idea what size they are.

Yeah, definitely hex head screws. Haven't opened up the doors to check them yet. I'm thinking somewhere around 8mm, but i'm hoping someone else has had this problem.

If the screws are just holding the speaker just use the hex wrench. you won't mess anything if they're just holding the speakers in.

Got it. It was a 7mm.
