Ok, here's the thing. I have T-tops but I don't have the money for the JL Stealthbox, or the Milhouse box from subthump.com. I do have 2 10" MTX subs and an amp though. I was thinking of two options. 1) Using a piece of particle board, replace the current "rear-well" cover and mount the subs to it, using the well as it's own box, and using enough wire for the flip-up function necessary for T-top storage. 2) mount the subs directly to the rear well wall toward the front of the car. (Is that the gas tank?) My factory system is killing me, and I really don't have the $$ for anything elaborate, nor the skill to build something myself. Any other ideas are welcome. lol, that's some funny s#it!
Anyway, I would have to say build yourself a "real" box. I know you said you can't build and sorry for recommending this, but trust me, it's not as hard as you think. Get a sheet of Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) from Home Depot. Should cost about $12-$15. Do not use particle board. It will shake apart into... well.... particles in a matter of no time. Take a couple of measurments and go to town! The box doesn't have to be very big for 2 10". Try to seal the box the best you can. Use what ever you have lying around. We are still talking a ghetto install anyway. Do yourself a favor and do it right the first time. You could run a risk of damaging your gear PLUS it will sound much better in the end.

Is your amp small enough to mount onto or behind the spare tire?? I would really try to at least get your hands on a MTX box for the cubby hole. You could build your own but the only problem is it would have to be on the gas tank (if you plan to keep storing the ttops in the well) and unless you have really dark tint, it would be seen and possibly stolen. Even if its a crappy home-made box someone will take it if they get the chance. You can cover it up as long as its not obvious whats under it. Thats why I like the MTX/JL box's. When you close the cargo flap no one can tell its in there. And true it will only be one 10" but it will still hit pretty good. What series MTX sub do you have?? I have the 6000 sub in my MTX box and it hits great. Could be better but it works for me. Anyways, you should be able to find an MTX box pretty cheap. Search this board, www.camaroz28.com, www.ls1.com, eBay and anywhere else. Hell, if I could find a good priced JL box I would give my MTX up for cheap.
