how do you disconnect the door chime.. it is sooo irratating trying to sit in the car with the door open with that noise going on

Easy, take off the panel under the steering wheel. You'll see the turn signal relay and there will be a brown little box. You'll even be able to distinguish it if it's chiming. All you do is pull it out.

Thats stupid, Simply pull on the key as it sits in ur ignition. Its a GM thing that u can nearly pull the key out but still have it in. I can actually remove mine when it is turned backwards. My firebird does it. All my friends Fbodies do it. I can do it on my Escalade and on my friends old Cadilac Brougham de elegance. So dont tell me it cant be done- and u dont have to be agressive with it at all, just pull.

keep in mind if you leave your lights on, you're not going to have a chime to remind you. also the chime is needed to program your alarm, if you choose to change it from the factory setting. see your owner's manual for details. i like the factory setting just fine, so that wasn't an issue for me. i have, however, left my lights on twice since i did this mod.

email me if you have any questions.
