  • Radio Shack replacement display bulb

I looked in the FAQ and didn't see anything mentioning the bulb that lights up the display and not the buttons on the delco radio. Mine burnt out... or at least isn't working anymore I don't know exactly what happened. Anyways, I'm going to head down to radio shack tomorrow and was wondering if there's a replacement bulb that will work or will I have to order a legit facotry one online?

did you really read the FAQ? its at the very top:

For the replacement bulbs use Radio Shack part #272-1154 ($1.39 each)

I did see that but wasn't sure if the display bulb was different from the illumination bulbs, but thanks for clearing that up.

Well I'm stupid. I went to radio shack, gave them that part number, and indeed they were not the same bulb as the display bulb. The display bulb is quite a bit larger and seated in a special "boot" I guess you could call it.

The guy there attempted to seperate the boot from the bulb but only too late did he realize that the bulb and boot are attatched thus breaking it. I now have no bulb at all and need a replacement... badly.

Does anyone out there know the part number for the DISPLAY bulb?
