kewabl,
Most all of the after market HU will fit in 98-02 f-bodies, with a little help from the din coverter kit. Costs about 10 bucks, and makes it so that the big oversized GM hole is smaller, so the HU fits in. There is also a lot of room behind the stereo, so plenty of room and no sticking out of the HU.

Hello everyone, im new here, but i'm a bit of an audiophile. i currently dont own an f-body, but hopefully when im done university in a few months.
Currently i drive an '88 olds delta 88, but i have a sweet system in it. see below for details, sorry no pics. my concern is that the system will not fit into the '98 firebird i want to get.
-i have a panasonic deck, 4Vx3 pre amp outs, 45Wx4 channels
-audiobahn 6x9's in the doors and rear windows powered by a small sony amp
-kenwood tweeters in the front dash
and now the sweet part.
3 audiobahn 12' subs powered by an 8200 audiobahn amp.
it really pounds, but im worried that i will not be able to fit it into my firebird (he said with fingers crossed) any thoughts?

It'll fit, probably going to need a custom box though.
94 maro
mods? ummmm..... one or two.
some people see the bottom of our soceity as a product of the system,But the system is a product of our society. It cant be changed because we dont want it to change. all you can take is grab ahold of what ever advatages you get and live life to the fullest. Be happy, lifes too short

I can do that for ya. I've done one for The Audiobahns come to think of it. I look forward to hearing from you.
I have a Kenwood Excelon KDC-X917 Also with the cd changer to go with the head unit. Also MB Quart 6 1/2 in the back and doors and 6 1/2 comps with 1 inch tweets in kick pannels. The door and back speakers are powered off the head unit and the comps are power of an MTX 4 channel amp. I have 1 Jl W3 but don't have a box or amp yet. I would like to keep most of my trunk space and mont the sub and amp off to one side or something i don;t know. All help on this is needed
You know Q-logic makes a "stealth" box which fits into the left side of your hatch. It utilizes room that is otherwise un-usable. Crutchfield sells them.

Welcome to the board, Shane!
There's been a number of topics in the past relating to boxes of all sorts - stealth, custom, etc, as well as amps. Use the search feature in the upper right part of the window and you should have no problems finding what you need. If your specific question isn't answered that way, feel free to post a new topic with more specific questions, and we'll be glad to answer them for you!
