power windows, door locks installation

what all parts do i need to put power windows and power door locks in a 2001 camaro. and if i was to get a dealership to do this about how much would it cost, and if i done it muself about how hard would it be

I don't know how much the dealership would cost. I converted my 2002 camaro to power windows, locks, mirrors and keyless. All stock. To do the windows you first need a windows motor and regulator, it is what pushes the windows up, you need 2. Then you need to buy the poewr windows wirering harness, it is also the same harness that has power locks, and mirrors. then you need the switches for both doors and then you need the door lock actulators. For everything i got off ebay it cost me about 250 dollars. As far as installing it yourself i did it, i didn't think it was hard. Make Sure though that the wiring harness comes from a year as close a possible to your year, the 96 harness i bough was different and i had to rewire it. The hardest part is putting in the new window regulators, you need to drill our the rivits of the old regulator there are a couple of how to's online just search for them. As far as the wiring the harness plugs into the window motors, lock auctulators, the body control module(located behind the glove compartment box on the pass side(hint: if you want keyless all you have to do is replace this with one that has keyless, works great)) and it plugs into a spot on the driver side under the steering wheel. You also need to buy a fuse for the empty pwr win spot in the fuse box. It took me about six hours but i was going soooo slow, a game was on. Wow that was long sry.
