  • Components: Pioneer or Infinity

I picked out a couple different components I want to buy to put in the doors of my 02 Firebird. Any input would be appreciated...

I've used Pioneer speakers before and I've always had good luck with them. Here is what I'm considering for Pioneer components.
    Pioneer TS-C604
The 6-1/2" woofers are a bit oversized and say they will fit in most GM openings.

The other component set I was looking at was the Infinity Reference 6000cs
I've heard good things about the Reference line and the price on these seems decent.

I've heard Focals are good but that stuff is way to expensive. I'm looking to spend no more than $150-175 max; which is why I'm considering the speakers listed above

well i have had tons of troubles with every pioneer product i have used. i set up a sunfire with the references and i can say for the money they are great. pretty crisp and clear and desent frequency response. i would say get the infinity.

The Focal 165A's are in that price range. I ran the reference's for a few years. Great buy.

I am not a big fan of alpine speakers, just not quite the quality they should be for the money imho. www.thezeb.com still has the cdt's on sale here http://www.thezeb.com/detail.aspx?ID=1083 . you will never find better speakers for 150 bucks.
