  • Fosgates or JL... what to do?!

I'm getting 2 10's very soon. I have to options, I could either get Fosgates HE2's, or bottom of the line JL's (which I hear a lot people say are better than any fosgate). What should I do?

JL owns, which model were you contemplating.

My cousin has a 12w6 in his car, the thing is insane.

My friend also has two 10W3's in the back of his S10, it's like... I can't even think of a good metaphor. It's awesome.

And all the Fosgates I've ever heard don't really sound great, a lot of my other friends used to have them just because they were generally cheaper and readily available at most car audio shops at a discounted price.

I say bite the bullet and spend a little more for a good JL audio setup, it'll be worth it in the end.

Just go read the reviews over on Sounddomain.com.

Definitey JL's. I've had a pair of both, and the Fosgates don't even come close to comparing.

I have a 10w3 in my driver's side stealth box, sounds real nice!!! :D I only have 100watts through it, but it sounds like a mother....really good SQ, nice bang for the buck.

Out of the two mentioned, I'm gonna have to go with the HE2's. But if it was W3's vs. He2's...... I'd go JL.

I had 2 JL Audio 12W1's in my Camaro with a Phoenix Gold MS-275 pushing them. I hit 145.2 and have had them for 5+ years - loved them. I recently got a set of 12w3's and a JL Audio 500/1 to push them - I haven't metered yet - but they are slammin'!!! I'd say JL all the way - those subs have done me well. Just my 2 cents. Good luck!
