96 Firebird Big 3

I put in an HO alt from excessive amperage today and did the big 3 at the same time with 0 gauge wiring.

Both the positive and the negative terminals had I think three wires each. I cut the negative/to/ground cable and the alternator/to/positive cable and simply connected the remaining wires along with the new 1/0 gauge wires (two different ring terminals on one battery post each).

My question is this: Do I need to do anything with the other wires?

you shouldnt of have had cut any wire, simply added on the existing wires.

Camarowidbass... there is no point in having wires that go nowhere. Why would I leave wires that are not connected?
