hope this is in the right spot... figured lights were electronics.

here's the deal: today i was on the road for about three hours total and in that time i saw about five firebirds. all five had their parking lights on, but their headlights were down. in my car, when i turn on the parking lights, the headlights come up but don't turn on. so how the hell do i get the parking lights on without having the headlights pop up?

Your headlights should not be "opening" when you turn the headlight switch from off to the middle position (parking lights). That's messed up, maybe your headlight switch is going bad.

hm... ****... it's been doing this since the day i got it but i figured it was normal or something... i'd never been in another firebird. well, once my car goes into the shop, i'll point that out to them and tell them it must have gotten messed up in the accident. :D

I'm not sure with the model if the 93-97 model has a big difference from 98+, I know for 98+ firebirds once you drop the e-brakes the driving lights comes on, and if you turn the knob once to turn on the lights, the fog lights comes on. So it could be the model of the car. I know most 93-97 birds I see doesn't have their driving lights on when I drive by them.
