I have a 91 Camaro with T-tops and I have tried almost every possible location to install this antenna. I either get "no signal" or frequent drop outs.
Currently I have it attached to the top of my dash with some double stick tape, it works, but I get the drop outs which is extrememly annoying considering how much the thing costs.
i got mine. Same problem, returned it next day. If they want me to pay them money they can spend some of there money marketing a ****ing glass mount antenna. (and yes im bitter and pissed about satalite radio)
they allways sell you **** saying it will work.. those bastards..
Red 98 A4 Firebird
..its pretty..
- - - - - - - - -
6 Infinity 3-way speakers with Alpine deck and 720 watt Kenwood amp..
make sure your not sitting right below something, and if you happen to be installing it somewhere like in the middle of two buildings, for example in an apt complexe.... that could be doing it..... remember the sats are not always directly above you, they can be off to the left right or whatever which way....
also weather, as it can on sat tv, can make a differnce, but usually only very bad weather will effect it.... most garages you cant get signal... all taht good junk.... also make sure that the fiber optiic cable is clean at the end b4 pluging it in... try pulling it out, blowing on it, then puting it back in ( lol like a nintendo NES cartridge)
I mounted mine between the t-tops right on the plastic. I used an RTV silicone that we use at my work for sealing Rubber. It holds tight, but can be peeled off the top with a bit of work, and should be no damage to the paint.
