I finally finished deciding on everything and placed the orders last week.

    Amp: JBL bp1200.1
Subs: two 12" Adire Audio Shivas
Box: Extended dual 12 well enclosure from subthump.com ~1.5 cubes per sub
Head Unit: Kenwood Xcelon KDC-X859 (last years model, this years model is blah)

anyways, the Shivas have some insane Xmax so I'm worried about my ears ;)

Sounds like a pretty good setup, although I've never heard of Adire Audio. Whats the specs on those subs.

And you shoudl definitely be happy with the box from Subthump. I've got the same thing, and it POUNDS!.

Not too bad. But it seems to me that $125 for a DVC sub with a power handling of only 650 watts seems a little high. But then again, I could totally be out in left field, because I've never heard how these subs sound. I think I'll just stick with my Audiobahns ;)

Thanks for the compliments guys, I'll let yall know how the install goes.

HotWheelz: The Shiva is designed to hit, and I mean hit HARD will small amounts of wattage. It is an amazing sub and a steal at $125. 16mm of Xmax? I'm sold ;)
