• Audiobahn Alum12

I currently have one of these in a custom wave box, pushed by a Punch 500.2 (has to be at least 4 cubic feet-the guy that builds these said the box replicates what BOSE did with their wave radio) and it bangs EXTREMELY hard.

Does anyone have any experience with the Alum12 or Wave Box Technology?

I just want to hear what others have to say.

fyi...I had a JL W3 before the Alum12 and I must say Audiobahn hits much harded. - My JL W3 would bottom-out with my volumn at 12 on certain tracks, but with the ALUM12 I have taken the volume to 18 (goes to 30) and it hurts when its that high, feels like I am shoving Q-Tips in my ears. Thats how hard it hits.

4 cubic feet is a LOT of space fon only one sub. Most subs like about 1-2 cubic feet of space. I've never heard of Wave boxes, so I can't say anything about that.

As for the Alum12, it's a good sub. It can push TONS of bass without breaking a sweat. The JL W3 would have been more sonically accurate and a have an edge in SQ, but as far as pure SPL the Alum 12 is a darn good sub.

Good ole audiobahns I had 2 ALUM10's in my old probe and they were nice, cept I blew 4 of them so audiobahn sent me 2 12's after the last one blew(very nice costumer support BTW). The 12's were very nice subs, I pushed them is a RF 800a2 and they were loud. I would still have them if I didn't sellem to buy my bird. Oh yeah, 4 cubic feet  thats nuts I had I think 1 cube maybe 1.5 per sub and they hit very nicely. Just my 2 cents

I'm running an Alum10 in a stealth box. It hits pretty good. I'm not pushing the watts the others are either.

Yea, my box is so big that I had to remove my T-Top holders, because the box goes from the inside of my hatch (top) all the way down to the floor of the rear area, and from side to side their is no additional space. All of this, with one sub. Most people think that I have 2 15" subs in my car.

The box itself was $350 to build. This is the only place in ATL (that I know of) that build Wave boxes.

            - What originally sold me on the Wave Box Technology: Lance - The Wave Box Builder, has an Isuzu Amigo with a wall of six twelves, in a wave enclosure. He told me to sit in the passenger seat and when he cranked it up, his front windshield and his door panels (He said he had destroyed the OE glass windshield - It is made of some other material now) moved at least an inch with each bass note. No Bu Sh -

If anyone on this board is in the Metro Atl area the shop is located in Marietta about 1/2 south of the Big Chicken, on Cobb Parkway. It is called SOUNDS SENSATIONS.
