My 00 camaro has recently devolped a problem in starting. When you first turn the key everything lights up and works fine execpt when you actually try to engage the starter then it all goes dead. You can wait untill the security light goes off on the dash and it will start just fine. It takes about 3 to 5 minutes for it to go out. I have seen other Chevrolet products do this also but I can't seem to figure out what the problem is. It is also somthing that does not happen everytime. Any ideas would be great.
I've heard of this a few times. Mine does it as well. Do you have an aftermarket alarm installed in your car? Does it have a starter kill or remote start as part of it?
