well i did several searches and no luck.

my sub keeps going in and out. all connections are tight and intact. now this is the 3rd sub ive had this happen to. 2 where lightning audio and this one is a bazooka (not bass tube). the amp is a lightning audio and i think its killing all these subs, but why?

please help,
jon

ps, all last about 6 mo before this happens.

What impedendece is your sub? Some amps go in and out of protect mode when wired into a mono 2 ohm load.

Please provide us with the model # to the amp as well as the sub.

What type/size box is the sub(s) in?

What size wiring is going to the amp? Are you sure the amp is grounded nicely, like to bare metal and there is no paint in that spot?

amp: lightning audio B2.150.2

sub: bazooka 12" 4 ohm, not sure of model

box: sealed as recomended by bazooka and also what ever size they said it needed

amp is grounded real good, thick wire and right to sub frame of car, all wiring from amp to sub is 14 gauge, pwr wire is a 4 gauge from batt to fused splitter and an 8 gauge from there to the amp.

as far as i know i wired it 4 ohm.

thanks for all the help so far,
jon

is the sub SVC or DVC?

The amp is a 2 channel amp and the best way to run it is with a sub wired down to 4 ohms and bridge the amp.

the amp is rated at 150 rms take into account effiency your seeing about 125 watts or so.

Maybe your under powering the sub and its clipping the amp therefore blowing the sub.
