strange speaker setup from best buy?

first off my codes say UL0, which from searching means that I have the monsoon. When I got my HU and sub/amp installed a year ago they told me that they had to wire it such that the only speakers that would give sound output would be the front and rear ones. So I assume that the sail panel speakers are just chillin. does this sound right?? I heard that the rear ones suck, so how would i go about a better soundstage??

Maybe they disconnected the rear speaker wires and used them as inputs for the sub amp? Lazy SOBs... Those rear speakers do suck though. First step towards a better sound stage would be a decent component set for the front IMO. Properly installed, you should have your sound front and center.

When i got my car rewired my door speakers and my sail pannels are the only ones that worked. The rear hatch speakers were disconnected. Go listen to see if the hatch speakers are hooked up. they probably arent.

they definitely are, the hatch speakers work and the front ones. How would I go about rewiring it so that the sail panel speakers work instead of the hatch ones?

My mistake. I thought the REAR speakers were disconnected.

Well, my first order of business would be to figure out EXACTLY what Best Buy did to your car. Find out what is disconnected and what they used for inputs to your sub amp. After we confirm a few things, we can make some suggestions for you. [img]smile.gif[/img]
