Right now I have 2 Kicker C12s. They'll only handle 150RMS so i'm looking to upgrade. Circuit City has a deal on the Infinity 1242W...buy one get one free for $110. It says they handle 300rms and 1000 peak. Is this a legitimate upgrade or should I still get something better? Hope you guys are speedy about responding b/c the deal end tomorrow. And I want to be able to notice a difference. Thanks.

Go to the nearest CC and listen to the Infinities, they had some at my local store and I listened to them. They sounded pretty good, very accurate and crisp. Not too much bass though, they didn't impress me enough to consider buying them. In my opinion, thats a awesome price on that Infinity subwoofer. You can't beat that price(not even ebay) so i would say go for it. They are (rated 300 rms and 1000 peak) from infinity so you know they aren't bullsh**ing you with the specification. If i were you i would put them in a (specification wise) SEALED box cuz they just sound better in them just like alpines.Comment
