12" Stealth

I'm looking for one of those stealth boxes that go in the driver's side, but all I can find are 10"s. I would love to have the one for the passenger side from subthump.com, but a) I kinda need the spare and b) Needs to be less than $100 shipped and all.

Any ideas where to look?

As far as I know all the mass produced stealth boxes carry one ten inch driver (MTX, JL Audio). However you can make one yourself. I made one to hold a 10 inch JL Audio. But I saw a picture of a guy who made one to hold a 12. My pictures http://www.lemaster-online.net/Tim/camaro

I don't think you will find a mass produced box for less than 100 dollars either. My cost to build mine was about 50-60 and alot of labor. Well worth it by the way.

Well I hear that JL used to make them and stopped. Thought maybe I could find one on E-bay- no luck. I'm tired of having my box just chilling in the 'trunk.' I guess I could settle for a 10" box but then I'd have to get rid of my Alpine 12" and find a 10...

A buddy of mine is a senior at best buy in the computer department and he said the bestbuy where im at is making 12" stealthboxes on the drivers side.
I dunno if hes smoking crack or what but ill keep ya posted cuz I myself is looking for one to hold a 12w6v2

As far as i know, the onlt 12" stealth were the boxes made by BJ Nolan. He made several of these boxes in fiberglass for the passenger side. The largest stealth ever mass-produced is the 10" models that are currently on the market.

I think you're out of luck as far as 12"s go. Whats the big deal anyways, a 12" stealth probably won't sound all that great. There isn't enough airspace for most of the decent 12's out there. Heck, there's just barely enough space to allow a 10" to sould good!

Just sold my stuff and now figuring out how wes gonna build this box outta fiberglass.

I have a 12 inch JL12W3V2D4 in a drivers side box. Me and my dad made it, and it sounds great. It is a very professional job that I have pictures of somewhere that I will try to post. It can and has be done, but it is a lot of work.

Ya my buddy at best buy called the install bay for car audio at the store and there is a 12 inch stealth box for the drivers side. Its made my Q-Logic.

Ill find out more information.
