  • Multiple cases of Interference? ITS PISSING ME OFF help!!

ok first of all i originally had a base 98 camaro, no monsoon system . i replace the head unit with an AIWA mp3 playing unit. now when i am driving or i hit a bump, pretty much any random time, this loud beeping humming sound will come from my lower left speaker. recently my lower right speaker has begun the problem . based on previous readings, it seems like it may be a grounding problem ? how would i fix that or at least check for it.
My second problem is also regarding speaker noise. My rear 6X9's, aftermarket ones, often sound like a bunch of paper being crumpled up. i can still hear the music playing through them, but i also hear that god awful sound that makes me want to drive off a bridge. I'm thinking its something to do with the wiring (duh), like maybe the connection isn't good or something? any advice? thanks a lot -craig

How did you connect the head unit to the car's wiring? Did you use a harness? How did you join the wires on the harness to the radio harness? Since you said the problems occur after a bump, I would think a poor/loose connection could be the cause. If the radio is on, but the volume is turned all the way down, do you still hear the noises from the speakers?

If you hold two wires together by hand and move them around while playing music, you can get that scratchy sound you mentioned. I would guess you have some loose wiring in the harness, or at the speaker, that is causing your issues. I would either use some good crimp joints or better yet, solder the radio harness wires to the adapter harness to guarantee a good connection. And make sure the wiring on the speaker terminals in secure as well.
