  • Need a new head unit - suggestions?

Hey everyone - looking for some suggestions on a new head unit. Seems as if my Alpine CDA-7878 died on me yesterday, so that's the model I'll be replacing.

    My current setup:

6 1/2 components from Planet Audio all the way around. 2 12" JL Audio 12-W3's. I have one JL-Audio 500/1 for the subs, and 2 Phoenix Gold MS-275's for the 6 1/2's.

I'm looking for something with mp3 and/or wma support - good radio tuner and front/rear/sub pre outs - preferable 4v or more.

All suggestions appreciated - thanks ahead of time!

I'm not sure about the mp3 support, but I would recommend the Pioneer DEH-77DH. Great sound, front/rear/sub outputs, and they last a looong time.

I just got a Pioneer DEH-P860MP and I love it. I got it brand new off ebay for less than $350. It has mp3/wma support, superturner IIID, and 6.5v preouts. I'd highly recomend it.
