My question is in regards to this alrm system in my 96 pontiac trans am ws6 .. All I know is its a clifford and the button has a model # on the back, and what I don't understand is the lite below the dash, where your legs would be, has a key or something, well it looks like a key,but the end is pointed like a end of a adaptor for something, anyways, whats it for,I have been useing the remote and the doors lock, and parking lits flash, but I still haven't herd any sounds, and when I dissarm and open the door, the led lite is still flashing, the thing with the key thing in it, I went online to a clifford site, but they wont give specs,or manuals on alarms unless your a certified installer,or dealer, whats up with this ? thanks, oh yea, the model number is AVX01BT3CL3 and the FCC # is BGA OE3B

theres alot of accesories you can add to an aftermarket alarm..
if its a key lock it may be a disable switch, or it could be the actual alarm on/ off if you are just using keyless entry.. if you dont have a key , i would take it to an audio shop or whatnot.. and ask them to check it out.. possibly remove it or give you more info about what it is.

what does the remote look like? can you post a pic? i can get you the install manual and owners manual as long as its still supported by DEI.

it almost sounds like you are describing a pro lock system. i know some dealerships would install the prolock and if the cust. choose not to buy it they would disable it and it was normally mounted on the lower part of the drivers dash. it was basically a starter kill.

Thanks .. I just found out it must be the starter kill switch or something.. cuz when I enter the car and dont put the key thing in the pin hole were the led lite is,My car wont start.. I must not actuly have a alarm, well i mean one that makes noise. The remote locks and unlock doors, parking lites flash. But thats it, the thing down by my knees around the bottom of dash will flash if I lock or dont lock doors, but car wont start unless i put the key pin thing in.. weird,I guess they got just about anything you can think of to make it nothing but a ***** to protect your ride.. anyways, thanks again..
