  • Best 10 inch sub for $300?

Whats the best 10 inch sub for around $300. I was going to put it into the www.subthump.com stealth box so I will need one that works well with that also.

    Please help, thanks.

For $300 I think the Adire Brahma 10 would be an excellent buy. They are comparable to the W7s, but would work better given the air-space requirements. W7s need lots of air and stealths just don't have it. JMO :D

Adire brahmas have outstanding SQ. Yes, they do have high excursion, but the clarity is remarkable. I've got several guys running these and I've heard nothing but praise. ;)

I have an Orion HCCA 10" sub in my car, and it hits pretty good for just one sub. The sub has like 2" of rubber around it making some deep bass. I have a MTX 250X amp powering it puting out 200 watts RMS to it. The sub is 1200 watt max and 600 watt RMS. I'm not sure how much it costs, it came with the car when i bought it.

What about the MTX 8000 or the new JBL 1600?

I've heard the 8000s don't fit in a stealthbox due to the size of the magnet. Not sure about the JBLs.

Im going to get one of steves stealth boxes myself. Very good at what he does, ive owned one of his well boxes before there very nice. But you dont know wanna with a 10w7, a 10w7 will creamate that box. Ive seen what a w7 can do to a box lol. Buddy of mine had a 12w7 and it blew a hole in the side of his custom box he made.

But im going with a 12w6v2
You could give the 10w6v2 but there a little more than 300

yeah the w6v2's are very nice, screw the alpine type r's, they s00k.
as for the adire's, they will knock your head off and sound good, but as always, there is better out there.

I think Rockford is a good way to go, they have good deep crisp bass and are clear. Id go with a HX2 or HX2 power, they hit HARD, i have two He2's in a convertible, where all the bass is absorbed pretty much, and i hit a 143.1 db, which is really really loud for what i have. :D
JL is also probably the other kind i would go with, either a w3 or a w6, they are good subs. :D

I have a single JL 10W3 in a Stealthbox running off of a Rockford Power 360.2 amp. It has great sound... no record breaking db's, but reasonably loud and has nice sound. I wanted to get a 10W6 originally, and do wanna check out the new 10W6V2.
