I had an idea for a video screen install and wanted to see what you guys think. I want to take a single din motorized in-dash tft lcd screen and install that in the gap between the airbag and glove box....basically so it'll be flush more or less with the front of that piece, and come out when I want to use it. Do you think there will be clearance issues? I realize i'll more or less have to ditch my glove box if I do this, but I think it'll be cool. Right now I just have a lcd screen on a mount to the right of the headunit...but it looks kinda ghetto and is dying anyway
why would you want it way over there??...thats like putting them in your headrests...kinda defeats the purpose....and thats alot of money and fabricating to do what you say...why not just mount it where a flip up is supposed to go...where your HU is now????....I mean if you want it over there, mount a screen on a hinge bracket, with a slide, mount the slider on the inside top of your glove box.....that way you can open your glove box, slide the hinge out so it will clear and flip up the screen...then close your glove box, and you have basically the same effect....just paint the hinge to black and you'll never know it was there
