ok, this is not in my car, it's in my fiancee's 01 F150... I put a high-to-low-level input converter on her factory deck, with an amp and 2 subs... now with the amp on, I get a real annoying whine thats relative to the engine speed, and real loud thumps when the brakes are pushed or lights are turned on, basically anything using power makes horrible noises through the subs... do I need a noise filter on the factory deck or a ground loop isolator on the amp? any help would be greatly appreciated! TIA

could it be that something isnt grounded right? might want to check your connections to make sure everything is ok. it might be the alternator whining....

I have the same exact problem. Try grounding your RCA Cables, it helped mine but didnt fix it so i ran new rcas and hope thatll fix it.
