I used to sell them back in the day, and they were VERY nice. Even their cheaper lines were beter than some of the "top end" stuff you can buy at Best Buy and Circuit City.

That seems kinda expensive, but if they are as high quality as everyone says, it'll be worth it. I'll browse ebay some more to see if I can find them a bit cheaper, but I may just order the ones you posted razzer, thanx!
MB Quarts are very nice speakers. Their tweeters are mostly titanium so they are a little harsh sometimes but when properly tuned you will have a top notch set of components.

you should never buy speakers without hearing them first. speakers are all up to preference of the ears. Go to an audio store and see if they got a set hooked up that you can listen to.
And hearing them on a display in very deceiving as well! It is just a matter of putting a baffle (like a little box) behinf the components and they'll sound like they have MUCH better midrange than the others on display. Or they might have a different amp running them (even if you can see it, there may be, I've seen the displays at Best Buy torn apart, and there had been different amps back there). Also at the local audio shop I used to work at, we'd put a better/cleaner amp for a good set of speakers that you couldn't see.
Or they may be at a better installed height for listening, and will sound much better. I don't trust what my ears hear in a store. Instead I'll try different sets in a car, where all variables remain equal.

That's not a lot of money for a component set! Check out the Rainbow CS 260.30 set with it's $6k price tag! Or the Alpine Type-SPX's for $3k! hehehe Anyway, MB Quart is well known for making high quality gear. They may not be everyones brand of choice, but most can agree that they are quality.
yup they are deffiately one of the best but i would have to agree that you need to hear them in a car before you buy. i heard a set in my friends tahoe (really nice install) and they were great except i didnt really like the highs (they were harsh to me). to me silk dome tweets always sound better and more natural.
