Afraid not. How much you have to spend on an amp? Or wanna spend on an amp? I'm sure I recommend something for any price range. What is the model number of the subs? If you don't know the model number....Type-E? Type-S? Type-R? Dual 2 ohm? Dual 4 ohm? What design/size box are they in?

i have the same subs and i am pushing them pretty hard with my mtx. I would recommend you to buy MTX. It's been a while and i haven't had any problems. btw, i bought mine from this seller on ebay . Great seller, unbelievable price, excellent customer service. good luck .

$200 will easily get you an amp to push them. But we need to know if they are dual 4 ohm or dual 2 ohm. Model number is probably something like SWS-1042D or very similar. Might have to take them out of the box and look on the back. A must before buying the proper amp, sorry. :(

Ok, the Type-E is only sold as a single 4 ohm model. So which is it? Dual 4 ohm Type-S or Single 4 ohm Type-E?

If they are indeed Type-E's... the Audiobahn A8000T will do well. Actually, here's a sweet deal, if you don't mind going refurb. I'd put Cadence one step ahead of Audiobahn. (IMHO) That's really the best quality you're gonna get for under $200. Couple other guys in that price range would be Autotek, MTX and Hifonics. All about the same quality wise.

But you said you can do up to $200... so you COULD get a higher power amp and just keep the gain low. This is will give you less chance of induced noises and power to upgrade in the future. A good one would be the Hifonics BX1500D. 1500WRMSx1@1ohm. 1kWRMS@2ohm. So watch out. That's enough power to melt those poor Type-E's. Keep the gain low and you'll be smiling. Upgrade subs... and you'll REALLY be smiling :D

yeah they are type e's 4ohm...so i don't wanna melt my subs...i know they're not THE BEST, but they aren't too bad.

No. No. I wasn't saying they ARE bad. Just that they are Alpine's entry level sub and will not handle that much power. But you said you could part with $200. You can buy something more powerful and just throttle back the gain to use with your Type-E's.

Then in the future, if you ever upgrade the subs, let er' loose and pump up the jam.
