Dvd indash with Kenwood mp3 indash???

Ok to start this off i want to list wut I have and wut i wun do. I have a Kenwood x659 and a good system, Wut I wun do is get a in dash dvd player w/o a screen on it.. just the player and then mount it under my original player... I was going to custom make a spot for it in the tape holder spot (94 camaro),My question is... to get the both running... do i just splice the wires for each one? basicly just run exact same wires o each one?? I wouldnt have a problem doing that.But is that the way to do it or is there a cleaner way? I was going to put LCD screen in the passenger visor maybe in the seats but i dunno. Was just brainstorming...
not wanting to go all out and buy the best dvd player cuz ultamatly they gotta all really look the same
