• Stock Monsoon wired to bazooka tube?

I have a 98 f-bird and I will be getting a bazooka tube very shortly and I would like to know what the best way to wire it is. I want to use the stock Monsoon head unit and I also want to know if this is a good idea. I dont know much about wiring and Im not sure how this thing is going to work. Is this a possible and/or smart idea? Has anyone kept the stock head unit and set up a sub or a tube? Whats the best way to do this with keeping the stocker?

    This is what Im getting

Great choice, that sub sounds awesome in my camaro; fits in the trunk perfectly.

If the head unit has a pre-amp out then it will be no problem at all since your sub has its own amp. But i've never seen the back of the monsoon head unit (i had the crumy AC Delco, lol) so i swapped everything.

If the receiver doesn't have any pre-amp outs it could get a little complicated, but it i believe still possible, but since i've not seen the back of the unit, ill let someone who has respond.

    Anyway, nice choice

just tap into the speaker wires in the back hatch and use a crossover to just get the bass, thats what I did.

That can cause problems later on with them, also they usually don't respond well to amplifiers due to the ohms on those speakers being I believe 1ohm or 0.5ohm I forget, also he has a firebird so there are 4 wires instead of 2 on the sail panel speakers
