what is this? i've seen it on many amps and never really known what it does... its on mine and is 0-180? i turned it both ways and nothing seemed to change?

Basically, it just swaps which terminal the speaker leads are tied to. If a speaker is hooked up out of phase (aka backwards), it'll sound weird since it's sound waves are cancelling out the sound from a different speaker.Drivetrain Moderator - "There are no stupid questions, only stupid people!"
