nah go with an after-market HU and your stock speakers will ultimately sound alot better. if rock is your sound id definately go with a sealed enclosure. maybe one 12 or 10? depends on how much bass you want dude. but go with the HU first.

Well, that depends. What kind of budget are we working with here? I know you probably want the best bang for the buck. Everyone does..... The Alpine 9811 is an unbeatable HU for the money. If you can afford more, step up the the 9813. If you can't afford either, I suggest waiting until you can.

If you keep the factory hu, then get four new speakers, and a four channel amp.

Having an amp or not has nothing to do with the type of music you lisen to. Whoever told you that was correct though. A HU outputs roughly 25WRMSx4. You could get an amp that does 3 times that for about $220. If you got the money, then of course, if would be a good buy.

if you want to keep the stock look then i guess keep the stock HU. if not dont hook aftermarket speakers up to a factory HU. Alpine, Pioneer and Kenwood are basically the godfathers of HUs. i wouldnt get anything other than either of those 3, but whatever you want bro.

First of all, what is your idea of a 'system?' When I hear system, I think aftermarket HU, at least two amps (or one that has a dedicated sub channel), at least one pair of component speakers, and at least one sub.

Second, how much $ is 'cheap' to you? 'Best' and 'cheap' do not usually go together in car audio.
