I have a Rockford 300s amp in my car. Right now I have 2 American Pro 800W 10"s but they jack up when I crank it loud. I want one 12 that will not jack up no matter how loud I crank it or how much bass the music has. What is a good 12 for about $300-$350? I can get an audiobahn 12 for about $300 with a 1500 watt RMS. Do those have good sound quality?

You could debate all day which sub is best. There's really no best sub. Some are good, some are great, and some are better than others. You should listen to a few and let your ears tell you what you like. The rest of us can only state our opinions on what we hear or like. But if you have that kind of cash for a single 12, then I would suggest an Adire Brahma. Buddy of mine bought a pair for $720 shipped to his door. And shipping isn't cheap for a 40lb monsterous sub. Audiobahns can handle great power, but I keep hearing about them failing. Plus they're not the most SQ oriented sub. My .02 :D

I would have to go with a JL Audio 12w3v2 ! These things rock a$$ to the point of shi!ting yourself. Run the RF's into a mono channel and you have a fun day setting off all the car alarms! I have only one in my 72' Chevelle pushed by a 600 Jensen amp and that thing vibrates my **** so hard my girl creamed herself!

Why dont you do out and buy an American Pro 12" with one or there 600 watt amps. Bridge the amp and the sup and youll have ground pounding sound. Ive got just one with the same setup and I set off car alarms all damn day.

Stay away from MTX cuz they suck, I can tell you from experience. JL's on the other hand are awesome, can't go wrong with those.

I have one Lanzar DC12-D and it gets down pretty good. It's loud enough to annoy the old people in the car next to me :D and sounds good when I blast it. I have also heard Kicker L7's are nice, but they are power hogs. You need 700-1000w RMS just to get them moving. As for the best I don't know, but I like my Lanzar.

JL 12W3. I have 2 JL 10W3's, and those hit harder than 80% of 12's i've heard. If the 10s are like  I can immagine the 12's are like  . I would have no doubts on the 12w3's. You would have some killer sound with those

I've got 2 12" w6's (custom pics in sig) and they are louder than anything i've heard, ONLY because the box was done right.
If you get some awesome subs and have a ****ty box, you will have ****ty sound. I would say the box makes the sub.
What are your goals? loud? 12w6v2 or an adire(not good quality tho)
SPL? 12w7 or go get a real hefty competition sub that'll run you into the 1000's

Rockford Fosgate punch HX2's are all you'll need unless you're going to competitions. 500-600 RMS and only about $250 a piece. You can't go wrong.

ok, if you want a serious 12-inch sub, then you're gonna want the 12w7 by JL Audio, the Titanium series from Eclipse, or the Audiobahn Linear Compression 12. I have seen and heard all three of those subs matched with a competition D-class mono amp and they got down and dirty :D you will definitly not be disappointed
