• Second step is complete...

I got my amp today from CAMAROWIDBASS (thanks man), and now I'm ready for the box. I don't really want to spend $300 on the T-top box, but that seems like my only option with my wants (area behind seats open, T-top storage still avaliable). Now those who have the T-top box, how do you like it? Do the tops fit well, any problems?

Heres what I have...
(2) 12" Kicker L5 (DVC 4ohm)
Viper D1200.1 (1200W stable at 1ohm)

Here's what I need...
Box
4 awg wiring (right?)
Anything else?

But this is my first install (and setup), so I want to make sure I'm doing everything right. I wire the subs like so... correct?

So I get the 1200W out of the amp, which pushes each sub at 600W? Also, when wiring everything, where should I run each wire? And do I go under the carpet between the door and seat to the front? This is another thing that is concerning me, hiding all the wiring. Thanks for any help .

yea thats how you run the wires... you can just take them from the amp and put them under the lil panel things that the very rear spearkers are in.. then through the panel with the back seat speakers.. then under the carpet between the door and seat then through the wirewall..its no trouble i've done it several times

Is this a decent choice for the wiring?

http://ikesound.com/product-product_id/3369

I know its not brand name (at least not any brand I've heard of), but it seems like it would suit me well. I would use eBay, but I don't have an account and don't want to use my parents credit card on there. So I've been looking around at online/retail stores.

There is an amp install walkthrough in our FAQ I think. Check it out.

And brand name doesn't mean jack when it comes to wiring. That's a damn good deal you found there.

If your planning on getting a second amp later like to push your mids and highs then you might as well just get a 0 gauge kit.

If you want you can just get a sealed prefabbed camaro box from a flea market which is $50 or so, and store your t tops on the back seat.

That ( subthump dual box), looks cool but with the tops slip in place they look like they'd bang together and scratch. Or are they seperated enough.
