• what do you think of this alarm

so i want an alarm, i'm pretty handy, so figure i can wire it in myself (i've done fog lights, and a few cd HU installs in my time)... i also have manual door locks, so this attracts me to this:

or a slightly cheaper alternative (which doesn't tickle my fancy as much):

    tell me what you think

Installing an alarm is more difficult than installing speakers and HUs. There a lot more wires that go into play, tap a wrong wire and poof!

But if you have the will power then go for it, just be sure to double check the wire. Oh and i say go with the 1st alarm.

ive installed tons of electrical accessories in cars before, just about everything you can think of.

      im VERY good with wiring.

but i will not touch an alarm. too much stuff that can go wrong. i sent it out to a place to have it done, and left it like that.

ok, thanks for the responses... i'll definately have them at the front of my mind when i get one (i may just get one from a local general electronics store (like best buy/circuit city equivalent - i live in canada, so its a&b sound, or visions ) as they do them 'installed' included in the price, so we'll see)

          thanks again, guys
