They are great subs, but it depends on the box. In a poor box, they will sound like In a good box, they will sound awesome. I've had two of them hit 147db without even trying.

they are indeed good subs.

oh, and these suckers can take a ton of watts!! be sure to feed them!
my friend had two of them, but he didn't give them enough power and blew them.\'96 Quasar Blue Firebird A4
jamiethekiller@comcast.net
my band: woodland

Type R's rule. I "only" have one 10" sub and it sounds pretty good. Get complements all of the time. I have all Alpine (deck,speakers,4-channel amp, mono amp, sub) Sounds Killer. blew them might be the wrong word, but they stopped working. some stereo shop guy said it was because he wasn't feeding them enough power...\'96 Quasar Blue Firebird A4
jamiethekiller@comcast.net
my band: woodland

yes right, and your car doesnt run right because you dont have enough aftermarket equipment.
salesman ploy to get you to buy a bigger amp.
you cannot blow a speaker by not providing enough watts.

how does this misconception always get spread anyway. no you can't blow a sub by not using enough power. just match the subs rms with the amps rms to a similar number with the lowest thd and you will have a very nice sounding system. if your looking for a good clean powerful amp you can pick up an xtant 1001dx for about $300 and its one of the nicest amps ever made (in my opinion).2001 Arctic White Firebird With Black Drop Top

3:42 Gears
Zexel LSD
BMR upper A-Arms
Trans Am exhaust with 3\" I-pipe and cutout
Modified intake
Mecham Hood
Trans Go shift kit
Making rear control arms and panhard
